Hello:
Well, i have finally decided to get off my lazy butt, and get my 15 powerbook's screen changed for the 3rd time (white spots). my old powerbook wallstreet will serve as its temporary replacement. though it doesn't have or support an airport card, so i borrowed an ibm wifi card from my friend. i plugged it in. turned of the powerbook (mac os 10.2) the little picture in the menu bar is there, showing that there is a pcmcia card present (and when you click it for the menu it names the card that is there, though i cannot click on it as it is "shadowed") i tried installing drivers from IOXperts. and with that it gets signal from my airport base station, yet doesn't recieve an IP address, and when i enter one manuelly it still doesn't work.

anyone know how to get airport to work with 3rd party cards? i really don't want to have a long ethernet cable going everywhere i go.
