Hey, I have a customer who would be helped considerably in winning a major deal if he can find 3rd party Xserve modules for a cheaper price than Apple's.

His customer likes the look of the Xserve as a "good buy" but does not like the price of Apple's drive modules and does not like that they can not find any industry standard benchmark tests.

Does anyone know of any?

I don't know of any thirdparty harddrives etc. I am sure they will eventually become available. I know Apple has run some benchmark tests. Of course the XServe beat the compatible Dell system.
Here is the link
The tests might be like Gateway comparing their computers to the iMac. I don't know.

The problem is that I need an industry standard test and something that Apple pulls out themselves just does not do it for the customer.

Edit: I have removed this contents of this post because my customer was incorrect with the detail
