4.0.1 can use greenpois0n or must upgrade to 4.1 to jb?

i have no idea can someone help me out? and i also have an ipad that is in dfu mode now. i cant on it the ipad. how do i kick it out of dfu mode? i tried using tinyumbrella but the kick device out of recovery isnt available to click. how?

i'm new to all this i dont know anything i successfully jb my 4.1 ip4 and now my friend need help to jb and it is on 4.0.1 so do i need to upgrade first b4 doing the greenpois0n jb?

how about my ipad? i dont know what version is it. i was stupid enough to not check the version and direct put it into dfu mode. now i cant do anything. i wont on or whatsoever....
