Itunes is saying next check for July 15th and starting to see stuff online saying July 15th. Doubt it "fixes" anything.

stay tuned.....

"As you read earlier this evening was a pre-release version of Apple IOS 4.1 available to developers. This is a bigger release with new features. But the problem with the playback signal in the short term problems, Apple has a first intermediate, smaller update release: IOS 4.01. We expect this update to the early evening (July 15, 2010, Dutch time). Through ios.e-lite.org you can check what current firmware on Apple's servers ready."

The date shown as "next check" in iTunes has nothing to do with when to expect an update. It's just some number of days after the last time it checked.

If memory serves me right last year, 3.1 Beta came out one day before 3.0.1. Could be possible...
