I have previously jail broken my iphone version 4.2.1 firmware 03.10.01 using green poison and it worked great. i have used it on 3 different iphones. i was wndering if i can use the same green poison program to jail break 4.0.1 firmware 1.59.00 i know this one is also unlockable but i dont know how to unlock yet and am still learning about jail breaking. if anyone can help me with this i would really appriciate it.

This is even easier;

1. From your iPhone, open safari
2. Go to jailbreak me.com site
3. Website open, then the instruction will tell you to slide to jailbreak.

You are done!

Nope, no bricking or anything like that. I used it on my phone and it worked fine, works for 4.0.0 and 4.0.1.

Once you jailbreak it, Cydia icon will be on your phone,

To unlock, just install ultrasn0w from Cydia and you are good to go.

u mean all i have to do from cydia is search ultrasnow install it on the phone and its unlocked? than it can be used on a different carrier?

is the unlocking this simple on other firmwares as well? ofcourse for the once which are avaiable..

Its that simple as long as you baseband is compatible with the unlock hack.

Yeah Bro! His opening thread indicated he has the 01.59. Also the his iPhone4 is on 4.0 so it has baseband 01.59. Therefore, it is that easy.

I can't wait to see his eyes wide open with this easy jail breaking/unlocking method

Not sure but I know they're not cheap.
Try ebay or CL maybe?
