4.0.2 any hope?

I have a new iPhone 3GS that I can't use because i'm with fido and the phone is locked to Rogers.

I can't unlock because I was so stupid and updated to 4.0.2.

I have new bootrom.

So is there any hope for me to get an unlock or should I just sell my iPhone.

Looks like you are stuck until 4.1 comes out. I thought they were still signing blobs, but apparently not, as I restored a phone to 4.0.1 yesterday. Good luck, regardless.

sorry what do you mean by grabbing the 4.0.1 bootrom?

I tried the shift restore with 4.0.1 ipsw but iTunes gives me an error
