It Killed mine too, it's in the restore process now, we'll see how it turns out.

I just followed the restore instructions and mine seems to be all set now. Just took a while longer.

Happened to me, turned out to be my HOSTS file. I removed it, rebooted my PC and then ran the update again. Went through fine.

seems to be doing something now not 100% sure though, this process really should be made to work 100% of the time, what can be different from one user to another : /

same happened te me. I just did a restore and it's working fine now. Got scared for a second there though

Think of it like an organ transplant.

Some people will die because they're allergic to the anaesthetic, others might die from complications during surgery and other people might reject the donor organ.

There are several factors that can cause an update to go wrong, without the update itself being faulty.

I always thought it was "Video killed the radio star". But that was back in the 80's.

Is this some new version, a remake?

iOS 4.1 killed my iPhone 4 :D

tiny umbrella, kick out of recovery mode.

it's likely you got 'protected' from baseband update.
