My two gripes with iphone4 were the bluetooth performance with my plantronic earpiece and the proximity sensor thing. I updated yesterday and the good news is that both issues have been sorted. The hdr photos also work well. Extra detail on photos and colors more accurate.

Are you using a developers release?

4.1 isn't showing up on my iTunes yet. Has it been officially released?

No. It hasn't. I am assuming that if he isn't a developer he torrented the 4.1 GM or got it off a website and installed it via option/shift+update or option/shift+restore.

Thought it had to be something like that - the forum would have had countless threads about updating if it had been released on a mass scale.

Thats the way I got it. Could'nt put up the bugs any longer. The gm version is available all over the place now. Not telling anyone to get it, just putting your mind at ease for the people suffering same issues mine had.

I understand. I too have the 4.1 GM.

I don't suppose you could confirm whether it sorts out the performance issues on the 3g?
