As I always seem to see woes with putting lidded CPU's on the 4,1 I just sounded my brother out about a possibility of a short moulding run to make some ~2.7mm custom fit washers for fit the Xeons and make this this tightening malarkey much more of an easy task for everyone. The exact precise gap between the lidded and lidless chips.

Probably moulded out of black ABS - but the problem is to make it economical I would probably need to make at least a 1000 of them or possibly more to get the price down. It's the moulding tool that is the large upfront cost.

Question is would anyone buy them, cos I can't think a better place to sound opinions out...
