I upgraded my iphone 4 to 4.2 yesterday. Noticed today that when i go into my contacts. I have A through Z with only the first 26 contacts in under each letter. However when i use the top search tab all the contacts that begin with a particular letter will show up so i know they are stored somewhere. Is anyone else having this issue and how did you fix it or is this a bug that came with 4.2. any help is greatly appreciated.

my wife's iphone 4 has the exact same issue. however if she searches for a contact that isn't listed it will find it.

the phone is not synced with mobileme or any other service and never has been for the contacts.

my iphone 3gs upgraded just fine.

i tried doing a restore on her phone as well and no luck.

i started to do an apple ticket but it said it would cost money since her phone is >90days old.

any one that knows how to fix this please let us know!

thanks.
