i have a S0 and my girlfriend has a S1.

A couple of days after upgrading to 4.3.1 both our watches now lock them self when the screen turns off and reboots all the time. Battery lasts about two hours, even when in flight mode. The Digital Crown doesn’t register turns on the S0.

I’ve tried setting up as new both with and without backup to no avail. Apple thought it might be the Activity app causing trouble, so I was asked to see if I could start that app and check if it went it to reboot immediately thereafter. It started fine.

Any suggestions from you guys?

Verify in the Watch app on the phone in General > Apple ID that your Apple ID is logged in. If its blank you'll need to restore it after going to iCloud.com and removing it from your iCloud devices there. I had a strange issue with this causing all sort of bizarre behavior and it wouldn't log into my AppleID but seemed to work fine.

Remove ALL 3rd party apps from the Watch. WatchOS is a little bit more susceptible to an app causing system problems including resprings. This is likely the cause and it will likely be an app both you and your girlfriend have. You'll need to make the phone doesn't automatically do this.

Make sure everything that is supposed to sync, is sync'd. Music, pictures, activity, etc. Something in a perpetual state of syncing will kill the battery.

Aside from that I would make a trip to the Apple Store and have them perform a hardware test. I don't believe there is an online method of testing and Apple doesn't sell the diagnostic cable nor do they offer firmwares. The crown not working sounds like a hardware issue though.
