I'm sure most of us have seen this, but 4.3.4 is out. DO NOT UPDATE if you treasure your jailbreak.

If you have iPad 2 Wifi and SHSH saved, you are fairly safe.

If you have iPad2 3G and SHSH saved it doesn't matter, you're screwed till they find another exploit or bootrom exploit to be pwned4life.

But :apple: says I should always be on the latest firmware.

Thanks for the news, I was just about to pick up another iPad 2 today after work too. It's a huge deal breaker with the jailbreak as many of you guys already know.

The ones in the store should still be on 4.3.3 so you should be good. If not, return it lol.

There are already a half dozen separate threads on MR about this, but it won't matter.

Oh that's right! I'm gonna "accidentally" upgrade now and ask how to jailbreak 4.3.4 or how to downgrade my iPad 2 Wifi+3G

You could also have some sort of problem with your iPad,which would force you to restore and that would be to 4.3.4. Of course I hope nobody goes through that.

So, what is the deal with shsh blobs for iPad 2 + 3G models? Is it now pointless to save them as you can no longer use the blobs to return to a specific firmware?

Correct. It has something to do with the bootrom being upgraded when you iPad updates and you can't downgrade the bootrom.
