4.3.5 Restore on 3gs Custom Baseband help

hi all. I want to upgrade from 4.1 to 4.3.5 with custom baseband to maintain the unlock? Is it possible? I've tried using redsn0w but it says it will work with 4.3.3 or 5.0.1.

Is 4.3.5 untethered jailbreak?

1st. Do you have shsh blob saves for 4.3.5? If not, you can't go to that firmware.
2nd. Unlocked is base on it's baseband, what is the baseband on your phone now?
3rd. 4.3.5 only has tethered jailbreak. However, if you have old bootrom 3GS, then it will be untethered jailbreak.

Thanks for the info. The baseband is 5:12:01. Currently its on 4.1. I cannot seem to download mywii which is why I'm trying to update to 4.3.5

I don't have blobs for 4.3.3. Cydia has it for 4.3.5.
If its tethered I'll stay on 4.1.

Any workarounds?

Go up to 5.0.1 by building customs firmware while preserve it's 05.12 baseband, then unlock it with ultrasn0w. 5.0.1 is untethered jailbreak now.

you are right. But 5.0.1 on 3gs is very sluggish. That's why I'm trying to stay away for it.
