Can anyone confirm they have it working? So far I'm seeing reports that say you need to have tethering enabled by your carrier before you can use Personal Hotspot. Anyone upgraded and found this?

AT&T needs to do it, then they need to hammer home commercials showing calls interrupting Verizon customers hotspot connections.

On my 3GS I can go to Settings > General > Network and see "Personal Hotspot" listed where "Tethering" used to be. It maintains the spinning wheel and does not give me any other options. This is different from the image on the front page where it shows the Personal Hotspot listed when you first open Settings. I DO NOT have tethering enabled on my AT&T account - I'm guessing that's why I see what I do on mine.

(I'd love to turn that on and see what changes, but I'm just not willing to pay more money to get less data.)

Works on 3GS but it's carrier dependent

So it's that. If your carrier supports it, it will show up automatically on "Settings->Network", and also on the main "General window". But on the 3GS you can only connect via USB or Bluetooth, not Wi-Fi, I don't know why.

I have three SIM cards, and it works on one and not on the other two. That's how I know it depends on the carrier :)

Are there any Rogers Iphone 3GS users out there n 4.3? is this restricted to the phone 4? I would not be surprised if apple did, they did the same thing with the extra sms sounds.
