4.3 Beta Silent Text Message Alert Changed

I installed the Beta last night and noticed today at work that the vibrate for the silent now goes off 4 times instead of just the once.

Dont no whether this is just a bug or a new feature. Doesnt look like your can choose what you want it to be.

Hope it isnt a new thing because its not very silent

That is good, as I always missed vibrate texts - the two vibrations could be easily missed.

If you truly want it to be silent, then just turn off vibrate during silent.

Apple won't do a 'major' upgrade in a 4.XX release. And as far as I can tell, a major overhaul of notifications is needed.

I'm confident that Apple will implement new notifications in iOS 5. Along with a better lockscreen etc..

I like this, like a previous poster said I often miss texts on silent due to only getting one vibration.

And yeah, I think we're all hoping for a better notification system

Actually, it's screwier than the OP described - it vibrates for as long as the selected SMS tone takes to play when not on silent. Can be as much as 12 times or more

Ah I only have a short tone! Hope it's just a bug!
