have a 3gs on 4.3 firmware.
I jailbroke it with sn0wbreeze, that went without a hitch.
unlocked it ultrasn0w, here is the problem the phone keeps searching for
a network. it can not find a carrier.
has anyone had this problem or does anyone have any ideas?

thanks in advance

iOS 4.3 doesn't have an unlockable baseband, I think. Open Sn0wbreeze on your computer and it should tell you which basebands can be unlocked. If your baseband on your iPhone, found under Settings.app-General-About-"Modem Firmware", does not match any of those basebands, you cannot unlock your phone and therefore, sorry but you are screwed.

Best of luck.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_2_1 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/533.17.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.0.2 Mobile/8C148 Safari/6533.18.5)

Whoops. You probably updated your baseband and can't unlock

Since you have a 3GS, you'll probably have to use the iPad bb--assuming you didn't screw it up with an upgrade to 4.3 first. Otherwise, you screwed yourself over.

If you installed 4.3 first and then JB'd, your baseband was updated and you can't unlock.

If you used sn0wbreeze to make a custom 4.3 IPSW without first installing stock 4.3, AND your existing baseband is one of those listed on the sn0wbreeze site, you should be able to unlock.
