So here is the deal. I got a few extra dollars to spend on my MacPro system ans I am thinking of upgrading my Very nice 4:3 20" Samsung SyncMaster (1200x1600) to a Dell 24" wide screen (1200x1920). I was wondering if the extra 320 pixels are really worth it?

Well chances are your picture isnt going to be as nice looking. It would depend on the price for me though. I would opt for a widescreen of a 4:3 screen any day though...

First off, the resolution is HxV (1600x1200 and 1920x1200 ;))

Now how is the 4:3 treating you? Is it adequate for your needs? How about you buy the computer and try the 4:3 and if it doesn't work out buy a 24"?

^ bah... I didnt even check the resolutions he posted...

ignore what I said about the image quality! :)
