My original Ipad was just wifi and I enjoyed it, but I am travelling a bit more and wanted the 4g. I just came back from Seattle. The hotel wifi was okay at 4 in the morning, but you couldn't connect when a few people got on. I switched to the 4G and got 25 MB download speed. I used it for what I wanted, then turned it off. It's very nice to have in your back pocket when you REALLY need a connection.
