I have some problem, this is the case. I have a image that i have created and restored data on that is 4.6GB, but the image it self is 8gb so i cant burn this file to a DVD. So i need to create a new image that is 4.7GB and restore the file to it. Now.. 4.6gb would fit more than well on an image that is 4.7gb, thats not the case, it does not matter how much i try.. disk utility keep telling me that there is not enough space on my 4.7GB image to burn the 4.6GB file on it.. how is that possible ?

I have beeen trying on different mac´s so i know its not my computer that is making this problem.

My question is.. why does this not work ? I just want to get the 4.6GB file on a 4.7GB image so i can burn the damn thing on a single layer DVD

Thanks..

Why not burn it to an 8gb DVD?
Seems like that would be the easiest solution.
