I have been looking for a 4-bay hard drive enclosure for awhile but I haven't not found anything that stood out. I trying find a 4-bay enclosure so I can remove the hard drives from some of my old external drives so I do not have to deal with all the different power cables for them.Does anyone have any recommendations?

What type of connectivity do you want/need (i.e. USB3, Firewire or Thunderbolt)?

I have the two following USB3/Firewire enclosures and am happy with then so far. I like the 5-bay setup of the Mobius for more options and no tools/screws needed to install/remove the drives. But the OWC Qx2 is solid/thick and built like a tank. I use the Mobius as my main drive and the Qx2 as my off site backup I keep at my work office.

Mobius 5-Bay - $235

OWC Mercury Elite Pro Qx2 - $232.50-$249

If you have a thunderbolt port on your computer, the OWC thunderbay performs well.

I bought a Pegasus J4 for my extra 2.5" drives.
Works very well, low profile, thunderbolt connected, extra TB feed thru port, quiet.
All that I need.
