I was just wondering in which scenarios 8 GB could be beneficial?

I'm thinking I won't ever need more than 4 GB, but OTOH the upgrade is fairly cheap.

FCP with metal may take advantage of the extra memory or large photoshop/illustrator/after effects projects. It's so inexpensive, go for it.

Thanks! I use Affinity products and I have no idea if they'd benefit, but as you say, it inexpensive so I'll probably go for 8 GB.

8GB, it's only $100 USD
Depends how long you plan on keeping the computer. over 3 years, get the 8GB as it will matter more and more as time goes on.
