Does anyone know why the iMac doesn't support 4 GB's of RAM? After browsing Ramjet's site, it said that OS X registers the 4 GB, but will only use 3. What would the purpose of that be for Apple to limit capability to a non-equal amount of RAM in a system?

Please, please use the Search function of MacRumors. This has been covered here on MR approximately twice a week since the Core2Duo machines came out....

It is a limitation of this particular implementation of the motherboard and chipset. Why? Because that was what was ready for production when Apple brought out the machine. Nothing you can do about it, it will not be fixed with a firmware upgrade or Leopard. Sorry.
