4 or 4k?

I have Xfinity cable and a Sony tv capable of 4k. Since it is a smart tv I plan to use the ATV 4 I now own primarily to send content from my iPad Pro to the tv. IS there an advantage for me to upgrade to the 4K model?

I just ordered a ATV4K to upgrade from my ATV4. Only for the ability to watch 4k content - mostly movies.
I had a gift card to use, so the cost was worth it.
I hope the content quality is worth it. I am very pleased with the capabilities of the regular ATV4.
