So I’m looking at the 13” Apple Silicon MacBook Pro and it has 2 USB-C Thunderbolt ports WTF! ?

I need to plug in

#1. Charger
#2. External Monitor
#3. Storage SSD
#4. Camera

That’s bare minimum functionality heading into 2021.

Sounds like a hub with pass through charging, HDMI port and 2 USB ports would suffice.

They only replaced the 2 port Pro models. The M1 is Apple's entry level chipset.

The 4 port ones are way higher specced compared to the ones they replaced (4 port ones are up to 32GB RAM, 4TB SSD, 2 fans instead of 1, faster SSD, way faster processors..) and will be replaced with a higher performing chipset.

All you need is a USB hub. Monitor/charger can be done with the Apple adapter on one port. Then get a USB 3.0 hub for the other port.
