40% off Squaretrade!

Just got an E-Mail from Squaretrade for 40% off for the iPad 2 launch. It says you have to LIKE their Facebook page to get the code, but the code is IPAD40. Disclaimer says for all iPad warranties and no max discount.

They almost always have coupon codes, but 40% is toward the high end. The only time I've seen higher is when I first got a warranty, they sent me a coupon code in case I wanted to cover something else. It was 50%, I believe.

Good deal.. And usually their 50% off coupons have a max discount of $30.. I may get this.

If you have to use the squaretrade warranty, do you just take it to the AppleStore, pay for replacement and submit receipt for coverage? And these are easy to transfer from owner to owner?

You send it in to them and they either fix it or give you a check. They guarantee a five business day turn around.

I believe they transfer owner to owner.. not sure how easy or not it is, but I assume pretty easily.

You can also get a refund for any unused warranty. I just canceled my iPad 1 warranty and I got back around 60 bucks!
