Hi,
Toshiba is supposed to have released a 400GB 7200rpm Notebook HD. Does anybody know where to buy it or is it not out yet?
Also, how good/fast are toshiba HD's? It seems Seagate gets the best ratings for 7200RPM HD's in notebooks.
I'm thinking about upgrading my MBP and the faster RPM together with the higher density (200GB per platter) should make for a nice speed boost from a 5400rpm 250 GB HD. Am I correct on that one?
Thanks for any input!
EDIT: now I'm puzzled
this says that the HD is only 5400rpm: http://www.reuters.com/article/pressRelease/idUS26553+16-Jul-2008+BW20080716
but when you read this its 7200rpm:

seems that the initial press release was written in a confusing way. it seems they released this 5400rpm 400GB HD alongside with 7200RPM HD's.
