Powerbook g4 aluminum 15" take apart put back together?

I really do not like the instruction to stick a screw driver in and pull the latches forward. I'm not even sure how that would work, do you stick a flat head in horizontally? Do you push down on the latch to pull it forward? Are there any other ways to get into the thing? I imagine not. Has anyone done this before? I would appreciate more detailed instructions on that part.

Also someone mentioned that they had an issue with that portion of the instructions and bent up their cover, certainly I don't want to bend anything up.

How would I even know if I was doing the right motion and that I was actually performing the action on the latch and not some other part of the cd rom?

Also this does not really mention how you put it back together, do you just snap it on or do you have to do something with a screw driver to get it back on properly again?

That latch is very, very annoying and isn't on 1.5 GHz or later PowerBook models.

It's tough to get the top case off with it and even harder to get it to look seamless again.
