Does AppleCare cover batteries for my MacBook?

I've had this MB for about a year and a half, and the the battery health seems to be getting worse every day. It was on 9% took off the adapter, andnow it's at 48%. I've tried recalibating but that doesn't seem to heko. So does AppleCare cover that?

The battery's warranty is independent of AppleCare.

It's only one year as well.

Still, Apple has been quite kind in replacing batteries for me anyways.
