Help! Powerbook 15" has Kernel Panic Error when pressure is applied left of trackpad

I'm having problems with my powerbook freezing up and needing to be restarted. It's been concluded that when you apply pressure left of the trackpad it freezes with a kernel panic error.

Does anyone know if this can be fixed without a new logicboard? What causes the kernel panic error? Is it allways a hardware problem??

Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Erm, this is quite obviously a hardware problem. There's not really much you can do other than either take it apart to diagnose yourself, or take it into a technician. Even the crash logs won't really help you here. 😱
