Newbie question (though pretty clued up on most things Mac).

Whenever I plug my iPhone into the dock, iPhoto launches and asks me whether I want to sync the 20 of so photos on the camera. After the 300th time of asking, it begins to jar. I have tried all the preferences in iPhoto and on the iPhone but can't get it to stop launching.

Any help appreciated.

Open up Image capture /Applications/Image Capture.app then open preferences and select When a Camera is connected, open: No Application.

This will effect all cameras that you attach to your computer, perhaps there is a better solution.

Personally, I let it import all the photos and then delete them from the iPhone. But I also have them set to sync to my iPhone in iTunes. Net effect is they end up back on the iPhone, but iPhoto doesn't see them after the first import and ask to import them again.
