Somewhere in Time
Hello,

I'm looking to switch from PC to MAC in the coming weeks, my iTunes library is on my Toshiba laptop and I was wondering how to transfer all of my songs to my future new Mac?..........oh yeah, and the CD drive on my laptop doesn't want to burn my tunes onto a CD! any help would be appreciated.

cheers,

mp

Do you have an external HD? How about an ethernet cable? You can connect the two computers and move the iTunes folder in Windows to the Music folder on the Mac.

I have an ethernet cable and I was contemplating getting an external HD for my soon-to-be shiny new MacPro.

So what you're saying is connect the two machines together using the ethernet cable and transfer iTunes. Isn't there a compatibility issue here?

Macs can talk to Windows PCs over Ethernet connection, so there is no issue.
And to burn CDs with iTunes get into the preferences burning section and setup in which format you want the files to be burned on the CDs.
The HDD will be very handy to just copy from one comp to the other.
