Everyone with a 360, I command that you buy this game.

On a regular TV, it will impress you.

On an HDTV, it will boggle you.

On an HDTV with a home theater, it will probably cause your brain to melt.

$10. Do it now, and play it as loudly as you possibly can.

Is it available yet?

Will buy in an instant, one of the few PS2 titles I still play and pretty good at ;):D

I downloaded it this morning and just played through the first stage at rather horrific volume levels.

I made this post while still high on the endorphins.

Someone post the Achievement list? I can't get to any of them from work. :(

I'll probably pick this up tonight. With a 47" HDTV and 700w of 5.1 surround, it should be pretty sweet.

I can guarantee you, yes, it is.

Vibration and 5.1 are off by default though. Make sure to visit the options and crank the volume before you begin. :D

Imagine that, another game on the 360 that requires you move a cursor with your thumb. Just buy one of these and your score will increase by 70 fold.

Seriously though, it looks cool. It reminds me of the VR chimp scene in Lawnmower Man.

Is this on/will be on the PSN as well?

I want it.

Maybe - after all it did start out on dreamcast, then ps2, and now 360. Obviously they arent console exclusive :D

Oh and the new HD version is fantastic, can finally put away my ps2 :)

I've never played Rez before, but have heard about it. I played the demo yesterday and it seems like a lot of fun. Have any of you tried it with the extra controller vibration? If so how is it? Didn't know there was 5.1 output so I'll try that later. How's the replay value on this game though? It seems from the demo that you would have a blast playing it the first time, but if you're going to play the same levels over and over then it would probably get boring.

I'm going to purchase the game, but I'm still waiting on a user on this forum that said he has a redeemable code for the game. I'm waiting for his response, otherwise I'm just going to buy the game directly.

I downloaded this tonight on your command.

Great game! I have an HD projector and a 1000 watt THX 5.1 so it's pretty mental.

Took me a bit to grasp the gameplay, but now I'm thumpin'.

Thanks again for the tip!

I've been loving this immensely (although I try to rush the levels a little too much without getting the upgrades). I have tried out a little of the "trance vibration" with the extra controllers. An interview on Kotaku with the developers said the ideal positioning is in the small of your back and on your feet. It makes you feel the music more but it's just kind of awkward feeling.

Wow. Awesome game.

This game is the bread in a Space Giraffe sandwich...

- RezHD for a warmup -
- Space Giraffe for the main event -
- RezHD as a cool-down to avoid cramp in my psychedelia muscle -

Tasty.

[edit: ... just noticed - on my Xbox at least, RezHD defaults to stereo sound. If you've got a DD5.1 setup, nip into the game's options and choose the 5.1 option. I thought it sounded good before!]

[another edit: do I just suck? Can't get past the first 'boss'! Picked up all the power-ups so I'm 'SECOND FORM' apparently. I'm supposing the trick is to keep shooting those four 'eyes' within the sphere? Assuming the bar at the top is the boss's strength, I can get it down to about 1/3rd, but those green missiles just keep catching me unawares!]

Wow. So you haven't gotten past the first level? Level 5 is sweet.

Remember, Rez is a rail shooter - you have absolutely no control over where you are flying. You only have control over the things you shoot. Thus, you must keep an eye out for the stuff that can blow you up, ala the green missiles. Just learn to pick them out of the background and shoot them before you do ANYTHING else.

You'd think I'd be a natural at that last bit, Space Giraffe and Tempest 2000 fanatic that I am :)

I'll have another bash at it this evening after work... Looks like the trick is just to tune the ol' peripheral vision to the things that need to be shot quickest!
