Amazing machine...installed wmfusion with XP....even with 2gb memory...its blazing faaaast...I ordered 2gb more from OWC...2nd day shipping...just to be on the safe side...

One thing though....Apple! whats with the 2" keyboard cable??? huh??
couldnt you make it a little shorter???.....anyways...I wont make it bother me today...

when I was at the store...I played with every mac there...none of them felt this faaaastttt...and I cant believe its dead silent...all this power and its not even making a noise...

Congratulations. I think it's incumbent on you to post any quirks you notice. Freezes, graphics issues, et. Mine is barely 6 days old. Still get light headed when I look at it in the morning.

Regarding the length of the cables, I was puzzled as to why they made the cord of the Mighty Mouse so short. I was like "WTF, you really dropped the ball on this one, Apple" then the manual says to plug it into the keyboard hub. I knew that was a "Homer" moment for me.

I've always thought Apple intended a daisy chain; the Mighty Mouse was contingent on the Keyboard port and the keyboard on an ACD port. The front ports you used should be reserved for thumbdrives or digicameras.

Does the wireless keyboard look like that? Or is it smaller? I like that one, when it sits in your lap it has good balance, a less wide keyboard will be a pain in the ass to have in the lap as I'll have to keep my knees together to make sure it doesn't fall to the ground.

I still use a USB extension for the mouse anyways, the longer cable keeps me from running over the mouse's short leash.

The keyboard should come with a keyboard extension cable, and the mouse would plug into the keyboard.

I found it.....yes...(Sorry APPLE for my pre-mature burst!.) there is an extension cable in the box....

ok, after my first night...all I can say is that, this machine is something else...
I ripped a full DVD to the hard drive..it took exactly 11 mins 4 secs...

tried super pi 1M, 2M calculations in XP (under WMFusion) even with only 1gb ram dedicated to windows, it made my old 3.2 over-clocked (water cooled)
fx-62 look like an ancient chip...woww...

now I am waiting my extra 2gbs from OWC...should be here tomorrow..
then i'll dedicate 2gb to the windows section and see what happens...

but so far...this is the fastest/sexiest machine I've ever used...
core 2 duo, amd chips..they're all snails compared to this one...

I AM VERY HAPPY WITH MY PURCHASE!....
