The difference in screen real estate is noticeable, in my opinion. Whether or not a person should wear a 44mm watch is a different matter.

Ok but is it noticeable when just looking at the watch on someone's arm ? Even if it is a quick look ?

Thanks.

Are you asking about the difference between the bigger watch and the smaller watch in general? Or are you asking about the difference in screen real estate between the s3 "big" watch and the s4 "big" watch, which is when they switched from 38/42 to 40/44?

Keep in mind that since Series 2, the 42mm version was actually 42.5mm long. I went from that to a Series 5 44mm and found the difference too small to notice (and I don't have a very wide wrist). I think in part that's also due to the 44mm versions being 0.7 mm thinner ...
