Why the hell use a cellphone in the bedroom?

Jeeze, any civilised person would use a laptop.

8% used it while in shower/bath?!

Anyone who has done/does this care to explain how that one works without getting water all over (and potentially inside) the phone? Seems like a made up stat to me...

only 39% use there cell phone in the bathroom I call BS on that one. It is more likely around 90+%. Come on it makes a great place to find reading material while on the porcine thrown.

i understand to give up beer for a cellphone , some people are that desperate and yes i know quiet a few people who just cant do anything without having their phone in one hand typing text messages or doing calls constantly 24/7 .

so yes in my point of view its a addiction , like smoking cigarettes or drinking alcohol to others and should be banned in all public places. Hefty fines if they are used for other things then real emergency calls in a public place .
and in cars i would immediately ban someone for live from driving if he is using one with his hands .

Um, what is the advantage of banning cellphones in public places? They don't harm anyone's health like cigarettes, and they don't cause voilent behavior like alcohol... Its like banning coffee in offices or iPods/stereos in cars.

While I like your line of thinking. Unfortunately after a few more years I believe the lobbyists will no longer be able to hide the facts.

Cell phone radiation emissions are a problem. Sad but true.

Many things emit radiation in the world today. Microwaves, laptop batteries and CRT monitors are common in homes, and they too emit radiation. High voltage transformers which you see on power-poles in residential areas emit a lot of radiation (luckily when a transformer outside my house got replaced my dad made them move it down the road ;)).

And most of the articles I've read about cellphone radiation say its only significantly harmful if you hold the phone to your ear all the time (making calls). So if you have to be that close to get harmed by the radiation, people using cellphones in public places isn't a problem.

Or play a round of Angry Birds. No wonder it's number 1

Give up beer for the cell phone? Not a chance. I had beer long before I had a cell phone. And I have other ways to communicate with people.

Me neither. I would trade my iPhone for a crate of Westvleteren though
