How long is the Apple Keyboard Cord?

Hey,
Today I'm planning to go out and buy an Apple Keyboard.
The only thing is, from owning an iMac I know the Cord is stupidly short, but I heard the keyboard comes with an Extender.
Approximately how long is the cord with the extender?
I need to know this is because Im going to be using the keyboard with my Macbook that sits on a desk.

I bought an aluminum wired keyboard a few months ago and it has a 39" cord with a 39" extension cord so it has a total length of 78 inches.

They come with extenders that make them about 6 feet long. The only thing that killed me is that they ONLY work with the keyboards. I would have really liked to have been able to use the cable for something else, but it is not worth chopping up the connector.

ah never-mind, I just went to best buy and picked up the older apple wireless keyboard.
It's pretty nice
