office 2008: spelling greyed out

Hi there,

When I go to the preference pain in Word the Spelling & Grammar is greyed out, and when I type text in a doc it fails to check the spelling.

any suggestions ????

incase anyone else has this problem - the solution was to re-instal the proofing tools
