Buying Before School

Well I am a student and I want to get a macbook pro, so I am going to save up in the summer, and I am most likely going to purchase one right before school starts so I am wondering if I will be able to get a bigger discount than currently available and do you think it (the discount) will be more than the refurbs discount?

Also by the time penyrn or even montevina come out will the refurb SR macbook pros be less? I know that might be a stupid question but I dont know if apple still sells notebooks 1 or 2 gens old.

in the summer is it possible to combine an education discount & get the free ipod deal (assuming there is one again this year)? or is it one or the other...

Education discount and free iPod are one and the same (during the summer). That means you get both.

Ah, didn't think of that. In those cases, yeah, Edu > Refurb.
