44mm bigger case than 42?

I thought I heard somewhere the case was slightly bigger but wasn't sure if it was only the display that got bigger.. Excited nonetheless because this watch is the one to gettttt.

That comparison really highlights the new design well. What an improvement in screen area and utilization! Also I can really see how much thinner it is. I was reading John Gruber’s comments from his hands-on and one of the things that stood out to him is that the Series 4 sits much better on the wrist, reducing catching on shirt cuffs.

It’s actually about 1.5mm bigger all around(1.6mm larger in width). All in all it’s less than 1/16” larger, hardly any difference.
