I'd like to install Windows XP or Vista on a 5th hard drive plugged into the on mobo SATA port.
I've seen posts from 2006 and 2007 that indicate that Windows won't recognize any drives plugged into the 5th and 6th SATA ports. People thought that the Apple firmware wasn't configured to make those ports available in Windows.
I'm curious, does anyone know if this is now possible? Has Apple updated the firmware or does the new Mac Pro provide this capability?
