Happy St Patrick's Day to all here at MR - hope you have a good one, and remember to wear something green, or at least have a drink :)

Oh, yes. I almost forgot about St P's Day. I don't have anything in green and I'm underaged, so that presents a problem. :p

Technically it was Saturday in the USA. The Roman Catholic Church moved it to avoid conflict with Holy Monday (Tomorrow). :D

Then just wish everyone a Happy St Patrick's Day and pass on the message :)

Everything in moderation - true some people use it as an excuse to get wasted, but then those people get wasted for no reason anyway.

It is a tradition in Ireland to "drown your shamrock" ie have a drink at the end of the day, hence what I said in the OP.

No. The sad thing about this holiday is people honor a great saint by getting completely wasted. St. Patrick's Day isn't just about drinking. Take that Guinness and your stupid ads!

Lá Fhéile Pádraig Sona.
Remember if you go to an Irish pub today to ask for:

Pionta Guinness, le do thoil agus Tabhair póg dom, is Éireannach mé!

Does my impression of the River Dance :D lol.

Why not?? I have had locals here come up and wish me a happy St Patrick's Day, true, probably cos I am Irish. :)

Why wish a happy/celebrate St. Patrick's day if you are not Irish?

And many non Irish people all over the world celebrate this festival - why? Cos it's good craic.

It's my girls 6th birthday today!

I'm going to hate this Holiday when they get to be around 18 :p

Happy Saint Patty's day everyone!
