Macbook pro HD Screen?

this might be a silly question but is the Macbook pro screen HD or just high quality!
I also was wondering if the Macbook range is HD aswell?

Well, all HD means is that the screen has a resolution greater than 1280×720 for 720p and 1920x1080 for 1080p. Considering that the new MBP high res screen has a resolution of 1920x1200, its resolution is higher than 1080p.

depends what you classify as HD quality?

the MacBook screen is 1280x800 which is greater than 720p and so is the MacBook Pro 15" 1440x900 screen and 17" 1680×1050 screen. the optional 1920x1200 17" MacBook Pro screen is true 1080p HD (actually 1200).

Anything over 720 vertical lines of resolution, progressive scan (720p) is considered HD. So yes, ALL displays in Mac laptops are HD.

1080p doesn't make a display any more HD than 720p, it just has a higher resolution. "True 1080p HD" is just a buzz phrase that companies use to make people think their slightly older 720p tv is no longer HD.

Yes, there can be quality differences if you are close and/or picky enough, with a good enough video source.
