Is it possible to get a PC 4870 card and make it work in the MP? I would love the card but i need two DVI ports to run my two old fashioned (4 month old) displays

We will need to wait for those of us who are getting the 4870 to actually get the cards.

Then we'll pull our ROM files.

Then we can see if they're even flashable.

Side Note: We haven't even had success with the 3870 yet, so don't expect anything soon.

Mac 4870 has one minidisplay port, it might be a problem for flashing.

I hope it can be done. The current port combination is ridiculous. It would require a $100 converter to power two 30"s, and it would not even be possible to power two current 24"s from Apple, since no one is making a DVI to MDP.

I would love to get a 4870, but the Mac one would be almost $350 for me with discounts including a MDB to DVI adaptor.
