Hi,

I recently bought new generation iMac (3,06, Nvidia) and have issues with graphic display in specific graphics mode with the new Nvidia Card. Esp. in Frontrow I see red sometimes green artifacts on the screen that sometimes disappear, sometimes stay until the next screen refresh. This is not seen in normal screenmodes.

I attached a screenshot of a really bad occasion to this post. Normally not these large screen areas are affected.

Anybody seen issues like this? Is my gpu faulty? Driver issues? Should I send this one back?

I'm happy with the machine, so I didn't started the return process up to now.

Thxs,
Tim

Update: I called Apple Customer Support this morning. The support had never seen problem like this. I showed them some pictures. Support made me reset my PRAM and NVRAM. Afterwards the graphic problem still persists. I addition after the reset I have all fans running with full power, this is restart persistent. So what the hell is in the default values of the nvram. Support guy was really helpful, but without clue how this fan thing can happen in addition to the other error.

Tools like iStat Pro or smcfancontrol2 can't even read out the temp sensors and fan speed after the reset. Weird.

So, as today is my last day of my 14 days after buying online in apple store, RMA process is started. Very nicely done, :apple:! Second machine I return in last 6 months. 100% RMA Quota for me!
