Hello, i use the mail application on my macbook. one thing that i cannot figure out is if i get a email from a friend named "someonef@macrumors.com" how can i change it so when he emails me i can view it as "john" or any name. i added some email addresses to my address book but it still doesn't show the name of the e mailer, but the actual email address which is what i don't want to see. thanks in advance.

30 views and no replies? i am sure someone knows how to fix this if it is fixable, please help, thanks!

Have you cleared him out of your recent senders list? Not at the mac right now, so can't tell you for sure, but I think if you click on Window in the menubar, you will find your recent emails. You can take him out of there (I clear all of mine from time to time just to keep things clean) and then it should work the way you want it to. If that is not where it is, just keep looking in the dropdowns from the menu bar for "recent" and you should find it.
