I have a 4G 20g B&W LCD that is a replacement for my original iPod (of the same) originally purchased in August of '04. The clickwheel is not responding at all.

I "thought" that when you received a replacement, the warranty would begin anew. After checking the serial number on Apple's support page, I guess I was wrong.

Questions:

Can anyone confirm that the warranty does not begin anew with a replacement iPod?

Has anyone had clickwheel issues, and is there a fix?

Thanks in advance!

This morning, after a restore and full charge from the wall charger, the clickwheel is working fine. So far, anyway.

I wonder if clickwheel issues have anything to do with battery issues? As in, I wonder out loud to see if anyone agrees... :p

thanks
