This is a heads up, and how to get updated post.
Forward: I purchased a 4G from DailySteals web site and the device came and looks brand new. I plugged it in to iTunes and went to update to the 4.3.3 from 4.1 that was installed on the device. Itunes threw the error 3194 with this pop up '...device isn't eligible for requested build..'. I read many posts on what to do and how to fix etc. Nothing seemed to work: DFU Mode, changing Hosts IP address to 74.208.105.171, etc.
What did work? Oddly enough just removing/commenting out any entry of gs.apple.com. When I ran a ping it resolved to 17.151.36.30, but that doesn't matter.
Anyway, I just thought I'd share it with you. This wasn't a one-off issue. I have a friend who bought one too and same thing on his.
