Has there been even rumblings that Apple put in an improved radio for the next gen? Honestly, if they're using the same component then I may have to go to Verizon at this point (no other AT&T phones interest me and everyone I talk to who doesn't own an iPhone has Verizon -- Plus I travel around the country weekly for busienss and often run into issues with AT&T).

I've missed too many really important calls recently. I also sort of resent that when I see I have -100 reception, the iPhone proudly announces that I have 5 bars. At least have the bars show actual reception.

No idea but if the phone isn't working for you why have you kept it?

JB and go T-Mo or move on to Ver. Why would you stay with a service that obviously doesn't provide you "service"?

Nobody has said anything about the radio or antenna, but there has been a suggestion that the new back may provide much greater RF transparency. There is even a suggestion that it may be made of zirconia, which would make it much more transparent than either glass or plastic.
