Hi everyone

I just ordered DDR2 4GB PC5300 SO-D KIT SPEED 667MHz, (2X2GB)KIT from frys for $22.99 after rebate.

However I just realised I have a mid 2007 macbook and it says it will only support upto 3gb. Is this going to be a problem or will it still accept 4gb?

Also what are your opinions on the extra ram? Did it make a significant performance increase? I currently have a 2.16 1gb white macbook.

it will recognize up to 3GB of memory. the rest will unfortunately be wasted...but for 30$ it's not that big a deal...

from 1gig to 3gig, you're tripling your amount of ram, yes you will see a difference

Will it see 4gb in the about this mac though and just use 3gb. Or will it only see 3gb?

I like 3gb of ram better than 2gb + dual channel.

I have to look into this 4gb ram deal :)

Thanks for the heads-up! I had just bought RAM from Crucial.com and the order total was a little over 70 bucks.

Now I just got my RAM for $22! Always happy to save $50 :D
