Hi!

Looking at the endless possibilities of KVM Switches.
I'm building a new home office/gaming station and want to combine MAC/PC on it.

I want to game at 4k/144hz (4090) and still use MacBook Pro for office-use.
I understand it's not possible to connect Mac with USB-C to charge it, so will be HDMI I guess?

Any recommendations? I see many viable options at 4k 60hz.

Thanks a lot!

I currently use the Sabrent TB4 KVM with both a personal M4 Mac Mini and work-issued M3 MBP.

This kvm allows either device to drive two 4K TB4 displays scaled to 1440p at 120 Hz. I think it should work for a single display at 144Hz.

The only drawback is that it only charges the active device, so you’ll have to get creative with supplementary power supplies if you intend to keep the computers asleep when not active on the kvm.
